IndiGo’s cargo division, IndiGo CarGo, has expanded its domestic logistics infrastructure by deploying a network of 28 bonded trucking stations across India, designed to link regional manufacturing centres directly with major international gateways like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. By utilising bonded road transport under Customs supervision, the airline enables exporters in non-metro and Tier-2/Tier-3 industrial clusters to clear Customs locally before trucking goods to hub airports for export. The feeder model optimises belly-hold capacity utilisation across IndiGo’s narrowbody and expanding widebody fleet, significantly lowering transit times and freight handling costs for high-value exports, perishables and pharmaceutical shipments moving to overseas markets, according to a report.
