THE Andhra Pradesh Airports Development Corporation Limited (APADCL) has officially issued a fresh Request for Proposal (RFP) to invite competitive bids for the development, operation and maintenance of the proposed greenfield airport at Dagadarthi in the SPSR Nellore district. The project is structured under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis. Notably, this bid invitation marks the “third call” for the project, following previous rounds aimed at securing an eligible private concessionaire to execute and manage the infrastructure over a multi-decade timeline. APADCL has made the comprehensive tender and draft concession agreement documents available via the state’s e-procurement portal, setting the final deadline for bid submissions for mid-June 2026. The planned facility is expected to serve as a key regional aviation hub, enhancing both passenger connectivity and logistical capabilities across southern Andhra Pradesh’s expanding commercial corridors, as per a report.
