The Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) – Western Region held its meeting on August 31, 2026 at Hotel Kohinoor Continental, Mumbai, bringing together members of the air cargo and logistics fraternity for discussions on key industry matters, including airline, Customs, custodian and PTFC/CCFC issues.

The meeting also witnessed the appointment of Mr Arunkumar Menon of Sevenseas Global Express Logistics Pvt. Ltd as Chairman of ACAAI Western Region, effective September 1, 2026. Mr Shailesh Sharma will continue as Hon. Secretary and Mr Farokh Hansotia as Hon. Treasurer.
The meeting featured a knowledge session by Dr Joshua Ebenezer, Principal Consultant, NuCov Facilitrade, on “Beyond Goods & Tariffs: Unlocking the Services Opportunity
under India’s FTAs – A Practical Perspective for Freight Forwarders & Logistics Service Providers.”
Dr Ebenezer highlighted the relatively unexplored opportunities available to Indian logistics companies under the Trade in Services provisions of India’s FTAs and CEPAs, including market access, commercial presence and movement of professionals. Using the India-UAE CEPA as a practical example, he explained how logistics companies can explore international opportunities beyond the traditional movement of goods.
The session also touched upon the evolving geopolitical environment and its potential impact on global trade and the logistics industry.
The meeting concluded with an interactive networking session.
