The Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) held its 56th Annual General Meeting last week at Aurika Hotel, Mumbai, followed by a gathering of its Managing Committee.
The AGM reviewed the Association’s activities and initiatives during the year, along with key developments and issues impacting India’s air cargo and freight forwarding industry. Members deliberated on matters concerning trade facilitation, regulatory developments, operational challenges, infrastructure and the evolving requirements of the air cargo sector. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the Association’s priorities for the coming year and its continued engagement with various stakeholders.
The Managing Committee thereafter reviewed the affairs of the Association and constituted the office-bearers for the ensuing term. The existing leadership team continues in office, with Mr Rajen Bhatia elected as Honorary Secretary General of ACAAI.
The office-bearers are:

* Mr Vikram Kumar – Vice President
* Mr Rajen Bhatia – Honorary Secretary General
* Mr Dinesh Krishnan – Honorary Treasurer
The continuity in the leadership reflects the Association’s focus on providing stability and consistency in its engagement with members, government authorities, Customs, airlines, airport operators, custodians and other stakeholders across the air cargo and logistics ecosystem.
ACAAI, which has been representing the interests of India’s air cargo agents and freight forwarding community since 1970, continues to focus on trade facilitation, policy advocacy, professional development and addressing operational issues affecting the country’s air cargo industry.
The Association will continue to strengthen its engagement with all stakeholders and work towards improving the efficiency, competitiveness and ease of doing business for the air cargo and logistics community in India.
The Managing Committee expressed its commitment to working collectively with the Regional Councils and the wider membership to further strengthen ACAAI and enhance its role as a constructive and effective industry body, as per a communique.
