Hong Kong Air Cargo to launch weekly charter services to NMIA from August

Hong Kong Air Cargo will commence weekly round-trip charter freighter services between Hong Kong (HKG) and the newly operational Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) starting August 10, 2026. Operating every Monday using Airbus A330 freighters, the carrier becomes an early international freighter operator to establish a footprint at Western India’s new aviation hub. The service adds Navi Mumbai as the airline’s third Indian destination alongside Delhi and Chennai, expanding air freight capacity for high-value trade lanes linking East and South Asia amid temporary runway upgrade shifts at Mumbai’s primary airport. According to the carrier, the new operation is designed to establish an early presence at Navi Mumbai International Airport, India’s newest aviation hub, and to support growing trade flows between East Asia and South Asia, a report said.
