Bangalore International Airport set to expand Japan Airlines Group’s flight services

Bangalore International Airport Ltd, the operator of Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport), has announced the expansion of Japan Airlines (JAL) Group’s flight services from BLR Airport. To accommodate rising demand, JAL will increase its operations to five flights per week on the Tokyo – Bengaluru route, up from the current three flights per week, beginning the last week of October.

This announcement solidifies Bengaluru’s status as the gateway to South and Central India, boosting connectivity from Bengaluru and the surrounding catchment areas.

BLR Airport is the only airport in South India offering a direct connection to Japan, with JAL being the exclusive airline providing this crucial link. JAL operates its Boeing B787-8 aircraft on this route, as per a release.
