Turkish Cargo has intimated that for shipments from/to Russia and Belarus, the following points must be considered:
• Complete entry of the shipper and consignee of shipment
• HS Code identifying shipment
• Origin of shipment
• Intended use of shipment (optional) must be taken
The system scans the shipper, consignee and cargo content from the reservation until the flight, and any changes made are rejected if any sanctionable information is found. Agents are obliged to know whether the cargo they send or the change they made is subject to sanctions or not.
Some prohibited HS Codes are given in the attached file to assist agencies. However, the scope of the prohibition is not limited to the attached HS Codes and they have the right to stop cargoes that will help Russia and Belarus in the ongoing war.
