Fly91, the regional start-up airline, has finalised leases for two ATR-72 aircraft and aims to start operations in first quarter of CY 2024, said founder and chief executive officer Manoj Chacko. Fly91 will operate on both Udan and non-Udan routes linking tier II and III cities. Fly91 received Civil Aviation Ministry no-objection certificate in April. In July it won the bid to operate flights from Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Nanded (all in Maharashtra) and Agatti (Lakshadweep) to Bengaluru, Goa, Hyderabad and Pune under the Udan scheme. Initially it will start with two planes and take its fleet to 6 aircraft over the course of the next 12 months, as per a report.
