UPS, the global shipping and logistics firm, inaugurated its first technology centre in Chennai. The new centre is focused on innovations that aim to make business dealings easier for UPS customers. The centre was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr MK Stalin, as per a report.

The Chennai facility, situated on Poonamallee Road, covers an area of 51,000 square feet. UPS will host community workshops, including career counselling and training sessions.
Networking and upskilling programmes will supplement UPS’ collaboration with the government on initiatives such as the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme internship programme. These centres will provide an unparalleled logistics experience for customers, employing advanced technologies including artificial intelligence, automation and robotics, the report added.
