Go First, Pratt & Whitney negotiate fresh engine lease pact

Go First and engine manufacturer Pratt and Whitney are negotiating a fresh engine lease agreement that will help the airline scale up operations. P&W has extended a renewed lease agreement with renegotiated terms and prices for each engine, said reports. This development comes following an interim order from the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), which directed P&W to supply five engines monthly to Go First. In response to the order, both parties decided to pursue an amicable resolution, resulting in P&W proposing a new engine lease agreement. Go First is currently evaluating it, which would replace the previous one with new terms and prices. The latest ruling from the Tribunal requires P&W to make efforts to despatch five engines per month to Go First from August 1, 2023 until December 31, 2023, as per a report.
