Starting August 1, 2025, Swiss WorldCargo will officially become part of the joint business agreement established between Lufthansa Cargo and United Cargo. This strategic alliance aims to enhance transatlantic cargo services by offering customers increased flexibility, more direct routing options, and denser connections between Europe and the United States.
Lufthansa Cargo and United Cargo have built a successful partnership over the years—collaborating in areas such as sales, customer engagement and network planning across the Atlantic. With the addition of Swiss WorldCargo, the collaboration enters a new phase of integrated service and expanded reach.
The three carriers will now coordinate operations on cargo routes linking more than 200 US destinations with Zurich and Frankfurt. Customers can expect streamlined logistics, synchronised services, and greater efficiency across the network.
All joint activities will be fully aligned with relevant laws and regulations, including competition frameworks set by the European Union and the United States, as per a report.
