Saudi logistics firm augments airfreight hub

The Saudi Arabian Logistics (SAL) Company has expanded its airfreight hub at the Dammam-based King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) in Saudi Arabia.

Due to the expansion, the facility will be able to process 130,000 tonnes of cargo annually a year. The 37,800 sq. m hub has suitable and spacious facilities for dangerous goods and radioactive substances, as well as cargo in-transit areas and facilities for live animals and heavyweight shipments.

The expansion will enhance the company’s logistics services at the airport while making use of the services already provided in the airport’s Cargo Village. SAL has constantly worked together with their partners in order to provide more flexible cargo services such as handling, clearance, transportation while linking cargo services with other Saudi airports.
