New cargo warehouse opened near Schiphol Airport

Netherland based APC (Amsterdam Perishable Centre)-Handling, a subsidiary of IP-Handlers, has opened a new warehouse close to Schiphol Airport. Cargo aircraft are unloaded at Schiphol and the products are brought directly to the APC warehouse where Customs clearance and necessary inspections are taken care of, after which the importer can come and collect their products from APC handlers at the dock.

The new warehouse with a surface area of 6000 m2 is equipped with cold stores, tropical storage rooms and vacuum coolers. Four vacuum coolers in the shed help cool fruit and vegetables down from 20 to 3 degrees in half an hour. More than 50 tonnes per hour is cooled maintaining the quality. Customs clearance process, quality control, temporary storage and transit of daily fresh fruit and vegetables from all over the world to any destination in Europe is handled at the centre.
