Assam-based Jettwings Airways, promoted by local media baron Sanjive Narain and businessman Anupam Sarma, has reportedly submitted an expression of interest for Go First. Jettwings had previously announced plans to start a regional airline focused on the northeast region of India but is still awaiting regulatory approvals and is finalising its fleet plan. The last date for submission of expressions of interest for Go First was in September, and the list of qualified and non-eligible applicants was shared with the committee of creditors on October 9. It had been earlier reported that Jindal Power Limited was the sole interested party. Jettwings Airways claims that it submitted its interest within the specified timeline. The Wadia Group airline suspended operations in May due to financial difficulties caused by defective aircraft engines, as per a report.
