THE Kerala Exporters’ Forum has proposed having an international courier terminal at Calicut Airport in Kerala, to reduce the existing dependence on places like Benga-luru, Mumbai and Cochin airports. Identifying as an inter-national courier terminal will bring in major courier firms. The Forum also reiterated its demand to set up cooling facilities for perishable cargo. Calicut International Airport, also known as Kozhikode International Airport or Karipur Airport, is tied with Hyderabad in terms of international traffic, said a report.
