Cargolux Airlines has successfully passed its GDP (good distribution practice) renewal audit covering its pharma handling processes. The full re-certification attests that the company’s management system fulfils the requirements of the European Union directive ‘Guidelines on Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use’ and of WHO guidelines.
Highlighting its pharma capabilities, the airline said that it had a dedicated team of cool chain experts “experienced in the handling of healthcare goods to ensure seamless service”. Cargolux became the world’s first GDP-certified airline in January 2014. Its hub at Luxembourg airport is also GDP-certified.
