AIX to operate 28 direct flights from Hindon from Aug. 1

Air India Express (AIX) is set to start flights from Ghaziabad’s Hindon Airport, which will make it the only carrier to operate from two airports in the National Capital Region (NCR). It will operate a total of 28 direct flights between Hindon and Bengaluru, Goa and Kolkata from August 1. It will operate two daily return flights from Bengaluru and a daily return flight each from Kolkata and Goa to the airport. The catchment area of the airport includes central and eastern Delhi, parts of western Uttar Pradesh, parts of Haryana, and even parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Air India Express also plans to connect Hindon through one-stop itineraries to other key stations on its network, including Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kochi, Hyderabad, Imphal, Bagdogra, Mangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram, as per a report.
