Air India Express, the low-cost carrier of the Tata Group, is set to expand its network with the launch of new flights connecting Surat and Pune to Bangkok, starting December 20, 2024. With this addition, Bangkok will become the airline’s 15th international destination, marking a significant milestone in its growth strategy. The airline is also strengthening its domestic network by launching services to Dimapur (Nagaland) and Patna (Bihar). Air India Express will now connect 51 cities across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, catering to the growing demand. The new routes to Bangkok, Dimapur, and Patna come as part of Air India Express’ ongoing expansion following the merger of AIX Connect into the carrier. The airline aims to strengthen its presence in both the domestic and international aviation markets, especially in Southeast Asia, as per a report.
