Hyderabad and Brussels Airports form strategic partnership to boost India-Europe air cargo

GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) and Brussels Airport Company have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a dedicated pharma and air cargo corridor between India and Europe. The partnership aims to enhance end-to-end cold chain logistics, optimise temperature-sensitive freight handling and streamline Customs clearance processes for high-value trade. Under the agreement, both airports—recognised as IATA CEIV Pharma-certified hubs—will align operational standards, share real-time tracking data, and collaborate with ocean and air freight forwarders to increase direct cargo capacity. The
initiative directly supports
Hyderabad’s position as a major life sciences hub by establishing seamless Good Distribution Practice (GDP)-compliant supply chains into European manufacturing and distribution networks, as per a report.
