Air India Express maps Europe entry with upcoming Georgia flights

Budget carrier Air India Express is charting an ambitious international expansion, evaluating non-stop flights to Georgia as part of its upcoming winter schedule. The potential move into Eastern Europe marks a major strategic pivot for the low-cost airline, which has traditionally built its footprint around short-haul domestic routes and the busy India-Gulf corridor. The airline has successfully stabilised its operations in West Asia following recent regional volatility, restoring close to 80% of its Gulf network across 13 major destinations. Alongside its European ambitions, Air India Express is targeting deeper penetration into Southeast Asia—specifically assessing new opportunities in Malaysia following the recent addition of Bangkok and Phuket. Mirroring this global push, the carrier is also preparing to expand its domestic footprint by launching services to at least five new Indian stations later this year, according to a report.
