China unveils 2-ton capacity unmanned cargo aircraft with 1,000 km range

China has completed the production of a new 2-ton cargo aircraft (drone) capable of flying over 1,000 km (621 miles), marking a significant landmark in the development of a multi-tiered aerial freight network. Shenyang Sunny Aeronautics and Space Adventure Co. has completed production of the Sunny-T2000, a large unmanned cargo aircraft designed to bridge the gap in regional logistics. It has a 15-cubic-meter rectangular cargo bay with a maximum payload of two metric tons, and can operate from runways as short as 800 meters. These specifications allow it to operate effectively in remote or mountainous areas. The aircraft is also capable of aerial drops, as per a report.
