Menzies Aviation, the leading service partner to the world’s airports and airlines, has announced the launch of MILE (Menzies Integrated Logistics for E-Commerce) – a new, fully integrated logistics solution designed to redefine e-commerce air cargo with faster, smarter, and more connected operations.
Developed in partnership with Air Menzies International (AMI), MILE combines the global reach of Menzies’ cargo handling network and AMI’s forwarding expertise to create a seamless end-to-end service connecting airlines, forwarders, and customers. Purpose-built for the rapid growth of e-commerce, MILE delivers a scalable and agile model to meet rising expectations for speed, visibility and reliability.
The solution combines priority handling and faster Customs clearance with digital tracking across every shipment stage. Backed by secured air capacity and flexible operations, MILE efficiently manages peak volumes while bringing together physical handling, transport and technology into a single, seamless experience. Underpinned by the combined strength of Menzies’ global infrastructure and AMI’s forwarding expertise, MILE enhances efficiency and performance throughout the e-commerce supply chain.
Powered by Menzies’ MACH cargo management system, MILE leverages advanced automation and data-driven workflows to direct shipments in real time from airside to landside. The system enables priority handling of e-commerce cargo through the use of dedicated digital codes, barcode tracking, and handheld integration, enhancing tracking and control from aircraft arrival to final delivery. This digital foundation ensures every parcel moves through the network with precision, speed, and transparency.
Following successful proof-of-concept pilots in Sydney with leading e-commerce customers, MILE will expand across key global markets from late 2025, supported by strategic airline and forwarder partnerships. The initiative forms a cornerstone of Menzies’ cargo growth strategy, enhancing service differentiation and unlocking new commercial opportunities across its global network, highlighted a release.
Beau Paine, Executive Vice President Cargo, Menzies Aviation, said: “MILE represents the next step in our digital and operational evolution. By integrating Menzies’ handling excellence with AMI’s forwarding capabilities, we are creating a powerful, end-to-end solution for e-commerce that will deliver real speed, visibility, and scalability for our customers. The launch of MILE reinforces Menzies commitment to innovation and its ambition to lead the transformation of global air cargo logistics through smarter, technology-enabled solutions.”
