Boeing has announced that its subsidiary has started operating at a warehouse dedicated to the distribution of parts located in Khurja, Uttar Pradesh. The 36,000 sq. ft. India Distribution Centre is run in partnership with third-party logistics provider DB Schenker and is intended to support regional aviation customers in maximising fleet utilisation. The distribution centre is ideally situated along India’s Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, near Delhi and the future Jewar airport.
This newest facility is a component of an international network of eight distribution hubs created specifically to hold and ship replacement parts for Boeing’s commercial clients. Salil Gupte, President of Boeing India, emphasised the centre’s contribution to meeting the nation’s changing needs for spare parts, stressing its influence on shortening lead times, improving availability, and bolstering the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul sector, as per a report.
